Community

Superior Asphalt, Inc. is committed to supporting our staff, valued customers, and West Michigan communities.

How We Support the Community

Jeff Kresnak and the employees of Superior Asphalt Inc. have had a long history of supporting the West Michigan communities and assisting fellow employees through difficult life events.

Over the years, Superior Asphalt has donated materials and labor to many organizations and schools. In 2014, Jeff donated over 200 tons of asphalt and repaved the Eaton County 4H Fairgrounds, a project worth $36.000. In 2016, Superior donated an eighth-mile running track for Caledonia Kettle Lake Elementary in honor of their principal, Christopher Warren who passed away unexpectedly. In 2020, Superior donated their labor and 100 tons of asphalt to repair the roadways that were damaged by rioters, saving Grand Rapids taxpayers over $10,000.

During our annual employee Christmas party, we have raised funds for local schools such as Cezar Chavez Elementary and Southwest High School. Employees participate in annual sock and underwear drives for local charities throughout Grand Rapids. We have worked with Habitat for Humanities, Mel Trotter Ministries, Gods Kitchen, local food pantries, local churches, and local anti-drug and bullying campaigns. We also support local sports associations by providing children funds to participate and by supporting local school boosters.

Superior Asphalt, Inc. contributes to local public works association fundraisers such as the Snow Plow Rodeo, golf outings, and various scholarship opportunities. We host tours of our asphalt facility for Government officials and local road commissioners. We take time to educate them on quality road construction techniques, proper material usage, and recycling efforts. We have also hosted tours for local school children in hopes of sparking some interest in the industry. Members of our organization are active with industry associations such as NAPA, APAM, MITA, and Women of Asphalt.

We owe a great deal of gratitude to the communities who support our business and will always be willing to help where we can.
